Words from Midnight

I forget what it's like for a soul to ignite
Through the dust of everyday life
There's a hole in my sail
And I've finally failed
To find my own way through the night

I've been running inside
With a fog on my eyes
But I'm standing completely still
I've been wandering behind
And my hands are all tied
This rut has become such a drill

If my heart is a bowl
Then it's empty, not full
And I'm wanting what I can't describe
And all of these battles are just quiet rattles
Creaking so sneaky inside
You never hear them
Or see them, or feel them
You trust me when I say that I'm fine
